Me and My Special Grownup

Class Information

Me and My Special Grown Up is for children 12 - 30 months and a parent or caregiver. These classes provide a setting where the child and caregiver can interact with age-appropriate activities and toys, develop language and communication skills and learn about child development.

As children experience new things through their senses, they look to the people they trust to make decisions about their surroundings. Adults have the opportunity to observe their child during play with a professional's insight.

What Will We Do In Class?

In our group, we engage tiny tots and their grown-ups in sensory experiences together to facilitate trust. Through activities such as art, story time, snack time, open play, singing songs and modeling of behavior by teachers, children develop positive techniques for guidance and discipline. The classroom is set up so that young children can be active participants in their discoveries with water, textures, mirrors, shakers, grabbing, reaching, kicking and dumping. Your children will love crawling and climbing around in our classrooms and gym!

Classes take place in our classrooms, gym and on our rooftop playground. We do messy work, so please dress your child for play and bring a change of clothes. A snack is served during class, so if your child has dietary restrictions, please let us know.
