Kindergarten Placements

Families at BSNS have a variety of public schools and program options from which they can choose. Families draw on the strong network of connections BSNS has developed over the years with many of the private schools.  

Private Schools

Barrow Street Nursery has excellent relationships with independent schools throughout the city. For full list, please contact our admissions office. For most private schools your child must turn five by September 1st of the her/his kindergarten year.

Public Schools

Many of our parents live in the zone for either PS 3 and/or PS 4. However, many may be interested in applying to the gifted and talented public school programs or other schools outside their zone. BSNS can help with this process, but your child must turn five by December 31st of their kindergarten year to be eligible for these programs.
