Greenwich House Pottery–located in an historic, 3 story brick building at 16 Jones Street in Greenwich Village–does its best to provide our artists with the resources they need. Today, the Pottery includes:
- Workspace: A materials lab, 4 large, bright workrooms for classes and open studio time, and a beautiful outdoor garden.
- Galleries: 2 sun-lit galleries–the Jane Hartsook Gallery and The Storefront–to display the work of visiting and our own artists.
- Equipment: 17 wheels, 2 gas kilns, 4 electric kilns, spray booth, slab roller, clay mixer, pug mill, 2 extruders, and an array of tools.
- Materials: 5 clay bodies–white stoneware, throwing stoneware, sculpture stoneware, red earthenware and porcelain. We also offer a wide selection of low and high-fire glazes.
- Library: A book and slide library–one of the most extensive in the nation–that is open throughout the year to Greenwich House Pottery members.
